Whty the filament of both has high melting point

filament of a bulb has high melting point because if it ha a low melting point it would definitely melt hence does not glow.when the bulb is switched on the current passes through the filament hence producing some amount of heat by heating effect of electric current .now this some amount of heat is converted to light energy and hence the bulb glows but if the filament has a low melting point it cant glow .

if you did not understand then think of a coal piece if it is burnt then it becomes reddish in colour and gives a small amount of light the same is in the case of filament but the only difference is that the filament get heat by current but the coal gets heat when we place it in fire
