Hey dear here is your answer!!!!
We know that prime no. are those which has 1 and no. itself as a factor....
While we also know that composite no . has more than two factors ....
But if we see factors if 1 then , it has only one i.e 1 as a factor .....
Hence it is neither prime nor composite ...

Because it has only 1 factor ( I.e. 1)
A prime has 2 factors and composite has more than 2
A prime has 2 factors and composite has more than 2
