( \frac{1}{x} - 2 ) is not a polynomial, this is because, the power of the variable is a negative integer. But we know that the power of every varible in a polynomial must be a whole number.

More:-

1] The polynomial of degree _ is known as _:-

  • 1; linear,
  • 2; quadratic,
  • 3; cubic,
  • 4; biquadratic.

2] The polynomial having zero as coefficient in known as a zero polynomal.

Ex: 0x², 0x⁷, etc.

3] A constant polynomial is a polynominal having 0 as the degree of the variable.

  • 2x⁰ = 2 (constant)
  • 9x⁰ = 9 (constant), etc.
