What is the first thing you have learnt in math ? Even before joining the school ?

Counting ? 1,2,3,4,5 and so on .

Now , if you think about it . This counting follows a very basic pattern ; What is that pattern ?

In this 1,2,3,4,5 . We are getting the next number by adding 1 , next number by adding again 1 to it . And here is the place where your answer lies to the question . And we call this pattern as Arithmetic Progression in higher classes .

You get 2 after one because of a pattern in math called arithmetic progression .

Take a number 1 add 1 to it you will get 2 .

Take that number 2 again add 1 to it you will get 3 .

And this goes on forever and ever .
