why 2 equipotential surfaces not intersect?

Explanation:

The electric field is always parallel to an area vector at any point on an equipotential surface. That is why there is no external work required to move a charge along the equipotential surface. Now if two equipotential surfaces intersect, then there can be two normal vectors possible at the points of intersection. This is not allowed due to aforementioned reason.

They cannot intersect  because two different equipotential surface have different electric potential, so if they intersect then the point of intersection will have two different potentials at the same point which is not possible.
