why 24cart gold is mixed with some silver of copper to make ornaments​

24 cart gold is very soft or pliable and hence cannot be used for making ornaments and this is why copper ,silver etc are mixed with it.Also alloys with silver and copper in various proportions, produces white, yellow, green and red golds.
