Due to cross-multiplication , (i) denominator of right side fraction get multiplied by left side numerator of fraction

(ii) denominator of left side fraction get multiplied by right side numerator of fraction.

 \frac{13t - 18}{12}  =  \frac{2}{3}

3(13t - 18) = 12 \times (2)
