Any number written in a p/q form where q≠0 i.e., fractional form where the denominator is not equal to zero is a rational number....

here 5/125 is written in p/q form and the denominator is not equal to zero..

even if you simplify as 1/25, the denominator is not equal to zero..

So, 5/125 is not irrational, it is rational...

hope it helps....

please mark as brainliest answer if you are satisfied....

thank you....

Your Answer:

To understand this we must know the characterstics of a Rational Number.

In this Case,

the number 5/125 can also be written in the form of p/q where p=5 and q=125

Understanding in another way also.

A rational number is one which decimal expansion is terminating or non terminating repeating.

In this case,

5/125 = 0.2

Here the decimal expansion is terminating showing that 5/125 is a rational number.

And if 1/125 is a rational number it can't be a irrational number.
