why -5 to the power 0 is -1 and (-5) to the power 0 is 1

Answer:

Actually, any number raised to 0 is 1

but if you search -5^0 it will show -1

maybe the reason is that it has taken it as -(5^0) = -(1) = -1

and as (-5)^0  means -5 raised to the power of 0 so it will be 1
