i) It is so because it passes through the center of India that is mirzapur.

ii) All countries have decided that the standard meridian should be the multiple of 7° 30

82°30'E has been selected as the standard meridian of India in order to ignore the time lag between Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh , i .e , 2 hours, which can create confusion of time in India by having same timings all over India.

aryan846851: then why 82°30'E has we selected not any other existence why this?
