As you know father have XY chromosomes and mother have XX chromosomes, and color-blindness can be inherited. So, and genes of colorblindness can only be carried by X chromosomes. So, mother is more carrier of this trait than father, so for a male to be colour blind the faulty colour blindness ‘gene’ only has to appear on his X chromosome.

So, color blind father is better than color blind mother.

If father is colorblind, his daughter would also be colorblind but his son would have normal vision, but if mother is colorblind, both son and daughter would be colorblind.
