cricket player lower his and backward during catching the ball because the ball is coming with a high velocity and ball is also having some mass so it is coming with a high momentum when the cricket ball strike the players hand the ball will release its Momentum to 0 in a very less time so it hit the hand very badly but when a cricket player lower his and backward the bol take more time to release its momentum so it apply less force on their hand so it will less hurt on the hand .
