why a fan works for sometime after switching off the switch of the fan ?

it is because of newtons law of inertia.

A fan was moving fast, so it had a kinetic energy. In that case, when the fan stops, the blades have to move more rounds to stop at a place. That's why a fan works for sometime after switching off the switch of the fan.

It is because of Newton's law of motion : a moving object will move till it is not stopped by other objects and a steady object will not change its state if any force is not applied.
