A pace or a footstep cannot be used as a standard unit of length because the length of footstep, forearm length and hand span of different person is different. ... So footsteps and other such measuring systems cannot be use as standard unit.

Answer:

Footstep cannot be used as a standard unit of length

Explanation:

  • Everyone has varying foot sizes and this would lead to non-uniformity in measuring length.
  • It would require a lot of time- consuming conversion and calculation and is thus not considered as a standard unit of length.

Hope this helped :)
