why a freely falling body is weight less

this is because a freely falling body falls on earth with the same acceleration with which earth pulls other objects downwards..i.e at 9.8m/s^2...so relative acceleration becomes zero..and weight=mass× gravity.since here net gravity or relative acceleration is zero, weight=mass× 0, and thus, it feels weightless..i hope this helps you
