Why a match stick can be lighted by striking its tip with any rough surface?​

Answer:

While striking a chemical reaction occurs resulting in the production of a lot of heat. Hence the match catches fire. it is because rough surface contains more friction and because of more friction a lot of heat is also produced . Then the matchstick lights up.

In the tip of the matchstick it generally contains phosphorus , pottasium which helps to light up .when we strike a matchstick against the rough surface , Due to friction between the two surfaces heat is generated Hence, the match catches easily fire.
