Why a person suffering from aids can't fight even very minor infections?

${AIDs is a disease in which the microbes totally damage the immune system and makes the body weak to release antibodies etc.. Therefore,a person suffering from AIDs  cannot fight even very small infections$

To fight even a very minor infection a sufficient amount of lymphocytes are needed. In AIDs the immune system of our body becomes very weakened. As a result sufficient amount of WBC(The main immune cells of our body) is not produced in our body.
