There is a bit of a line that should be drawn for teacher/student interactions. Some people will swear that the line is very clear and that teachers and students should never really treat each other like "friends". The line, while still pretty solid, is really a little less defined than that, but it depends on what you mean by "close friends".
Think about the ways friends interact when they are together, what they might talk about, and even what they might fight about. You have to realize that it is not ok to have ALL of those things be the same with your teacher as it is with your friends.
I would say that there are definitely characteristics your relationship with your teacher and relationship with your friends can have in common. For instance, your teacher can care about your well being. Your teacher could also be someone that you go to when you need to talk about things in your life. But, do not lose sight of the fact that the teacher is someone you should respect as a mentor before a "friend". I would not do a lot of "hanging out" together outside of school/wrestling events, and even doing so once could cause issues.
Keep in mind that, above all else, she is your teacher/coach. Your teacher should respect the fact that she is your teacher/coach as well and never put you in a situation where you feel awkward or have to question whether yalls relationship is appropriate. It is ok for her to care, but there are many ways that your relationship with her should be different from a relationship she has with her own peers.
