in the wire Mish the joints are less aerated due to the crossing of vertical and horizontal wires then it becomes anodic in nature
Thus it corrodes faster

Mostly, the joints in the wire mesh have been in a very stress condition. This is due to the welding. So that the joints in the wire mesh would become anodic that is associated to unjoined wires.

Explanation:

  • The oxidation takes place in these anodic parts and the joints will get corroded. However, the cathodic parts will remain unaffected.
  • In simpler words, any of the joints present in the wire mess will possess a parent material which is week in all aspects due to mechanical and chemical properties. Thus the corrosion starts at joints.
