Why absolute zero is defined from the speed of light?

Absolute zero is about energy states in MATTER. Light travels in the space time continuum.. if there is matter locally, or not, doesn't affect light per se. Gravity can distort the space time continuum and bend light paths, but that is gravity, not temp!
