why acid phenol mixture dont get seperated by using 10% NaoH​

Like acids, phenol also readily dissolves in NaOH solution forming the salt, sodium phenate: ... So, an acid-phenol mixture cannot be separated using NaOH. But, such a mixture can be separated using sodium bicarbonate solution, as only acids react with NaHCO3 to form soluble sodium salts. Phenol remains unaffected
