ACID RAIN

It is very harmfull as it cointain some of the harmfull substances which mix with the rain such as--> NITROGEN,MAGNESIUM,TOXIC GASES,ETC.

The ecological effects of acid rain are most clearly seen in aquatic environments, such as streams, lakes, and marshes where it can be harmful to fish and other wildlife. As it flows through the soil, acidic rain water can leach aluminum from soil clay particles and then flow into streams and lakes.

Acid rain is harmful because it will affect an environmental stressors and leave trees and plants less healthy.

Explanation:

Acid rain can be extremely harmful to the forest. Acid rain that passes through the soil can dissolve nutrients such as magnesium and calcium that need to be healthy for trees.

  • Acid rain also causes the release of aluminum into the soil, making it difficult for trees to take up water.
  • Trees located at higher elevations in mountainous regions are at higher risk because they are exposed to acidic clouds and fog containing more acid than rain or snow.
  • Acid clouds and fog remove important nutrients from their leaves and needles. This loss of nutrients makes it easier for trees and forests to damage infections, insects, and cold weather.
