if acids are stored in metal containers they react with them releasing hydrochemical acids so they are not stored in metal containers

 It is not safe to store acids in metal containers because some acids can damage the containers by corroding them.They readily react with the metal and forms a salt and liberates hydrogen gas.This is why it's not stored in metal containers! And this is why some are stored in glass containers and some are stored in plastic containers!!
