why acne is often associated with the age of adolescence?

Acne is caused by the inflammation of sebaceous glands (usually on the face) caused due to hormonal changes. Since adoloscence is a period of drastic hormonal changes, acne is a large part of it.
If you wanted this information slightly more scientific, I suggest you google up the terms, but this is a general reason.
