Acne is caused by the inflammation of sebaceous glands (usually on the face) caused due to hormonal changes.

Since adolescence is a period of drastic hormonal changes, acne is a large part of it. Because when man attains the age of adolescence sweat gland become more active and leads to oily skin and acne.
