In an isothermal process the temperature is constant, but in anadiabatic curve the temperature maybe increasing or decreasing rapidly. This when coupled with expansion or compression (which brings the pressure factor) causes the difference in the curves. Hence anadiabatic curve is steeper than anisothermal curve.
