Marganalisation ids the social process of being confined to a lower social standing. A marganalised group is denied from it's fundamental rights.
The developement of forests robbed the adivasis of thier natural teritory, livelihood and turned them into marginal and powerless communtiy.
They are portrayed negatively as exotic, primitive and backward people and are represented through colorful costumes and headgears.

Adivasis are being increasingly marginalised for the following two reasons:
1. Changes in forest laws have deprived the Adivasis of access to forest produce.
2. Construction of factories and other projects in tribal areas has forced many tribal people to migrate to other places in search of a livelihood.
