Afforestation is important in present living conditions. We humans have been cutting down trees so cruelly without thinking about other creatures. Due to deforestation animals and plants are becoming extinct. If this continues there will be a day we become extinct too. And also deforestation results in global warming or rising of the temperature on earth. Due to this glaciers , ice caps have been melting and now penguins are too in the endangered species list. 
In present living conditions we also see pollution everywhere by planting trees they reduce pollution by taking in CO2 and releasing O2. Also planting trees helps to save animals.
