SMOKE-Smoke is a collection of tiny solid, liquid and gas particles. Although smoke can contain hundreds of different chemicals and fumes, visible smoke is mostly carbon (soot), tar, oils and ash. ... Each particle is too small to see with your eyes, but when they come together, you see them as smoke
AIR-Air looks invisible because it sends very little color to our eyes.

Air is an invisible gas which is why it cannot be seen while smoke is not excatly a gas. it consists of solid and liquid particles (dispersed phase) suspended in gas (dispersion medium). these particles are visible to us. Hence, it's possible for us to see smoke.
