As air is a gas, one of it's properties are that it is highly compressible. Air is even a light weighted element which allows the tyres to be light and can over-come frictional forces.
In chemistry basis, the answer to this is that, air is a compressible gas which is even a light element that can overcome frictional forces. Air is available everywhere....so it's easy to even find it.
Hope it helped :).
