the air is the only matter among the solids, liquids, gas and even plasma which is having a more amount of the inter-molecular spaces. The air is even the once which compress at a great level when compared to other three. If we would inflate the tyre with the other three solid, liquid or even plasma then the vehicle will not move. Therefore air is used to inflate the tyre.
