Why airplane wheels emit smoke on landing?

Over several thousands feet above the ground, when Airplane is flying through the air, The accumulation of electrostatic charge takes place on the outer surfaces & body of the aircraft & its wheel. During landing, when the aircraft touches the ground..the whole aircraft body electrically grounded while the tires will discharge static electricity which in turn emits smoke as a form of wasted energy
