why Al and Al+ have same size​

It is so because Al+ has lost one electron and Al has not lost any electron , so there will be no difference in their sizes as the size of an atom don't depend on the number of electron but the size of atom depends on the number of shells the atom has.So Al and Al+ have same size.

Al+ is formed when Al atom loses an electron. Once Al loses the electron, the size of the electron cloud about the nucleus shrinks (since there is lesser repulsion between the electrons). As a result of this shrinkage, the distance between the nucleus and the outermost electron decreases.
