hey mate here is ur ans,
Alcohol, like water, are both acidic and basic. It is not acidic.... Alcohol act as both acidic and base. Due electron attracting capacity (-1 effect) of oxygen atom the bond between O and H becomes weak and alcohol is able to donate H+ ions
