why aldehydes undergo nucleophilic addition reactions more readily than ketones??​

Due to less sterric hinderence in aldehydes than ketones

Answer:

Stericity is more in case of ketones becoz of presence of 2 alkyl group of either side of (C=O)

as compared to aldehyde, due to this attacking of nucleophiles become less frequent in ketones.
