Ali was a very old and skinny man. He loved his daughter very much. His daughter was married to a soldier in punjab and she went with him after marriage. Since marriage he had not received a single letter from her. Hence he is always waiting for that one letter . This is the reason why he goes to the post office everyday regardless of the whether condition. His feeling of pain of separation is not understood by anyone and hence everyone thinks him as a mad man who waits for the letter who never come.
