As aryl halides are more stable due to the RESONANCE effect, Making the compound less reactive as compared to Alkyl Halides.
# Aryl halide has a partial double bond character due to the resonance of the lone pair of the halides and the benzene ring.
# Whereas the Alkyl halide consists of a C-X sigma bond which is easy to break.
Hence, The bond energy of the Aryl Halides is greater than the Bond Energy of the Alkyl Halides. So, The C-x bond is harder to break in Aryl Halides than in Alkyl halides, Therefore Aryl Halides are less reactive than Alkyl Halides.
