Why alkyl iodide is more reactive than alkyl fluoride?

iodine is large in size of fluirine.so it is less stable due to steric hindrance.
again fluorine is highly electronegative than iodine. alkyl is a electron withdrawing group so alkyl iodide is more reactive than alkyl fluoride
