All the components of the natural environment are interlinked because the ecosystem encompasses living and nonliving objects. Some of the instance of interlinked among the living and the non-living exists in the form of water climatic gases and soil and sunlight.

Both biotic and abiotic determinants are linked to each other in an ecosystem, and if one determinant is modified or eliminated, it can influence the whole ecosystem. Abiotic factors are particularly important because they directly influence how organisms sustain.
