aluminium is used for making soft drinks cans because aluminium does not heat and cold normally.

Answer:
Aluminum is malleable and ductile enough that it can be cold-formed (rolled thin, and pressed into a can shape) easily, it’s strong enough that the can won’t just fall apart, once it forms an oxide coat, it’s fairly nonreactive (Although, soda cans do have a thin polymer liner, because the acids will eat away the oxide layer very quickly), and its cheap. It’s not really the best material for any individual reason, but it’s a good balance between every factor manufacturers look for in a packaging material.
