Why Aluminum is more reactive than iron,yet there is less corrosion of Aluminum when both are exposed to air???

this is because aluminium spontaneously forms a layer of aluminium oxide.Aluminium oxide layer is thin but effective and prevents further oxidation.the aluminium oxide layer is impermeable and will repair itself if get broken.It adheres strongly to parent metal.The layer has stable ph range 4-9
