Why ammeter burns when connected in parallel?

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER  Ammeter is a low resistance device and when connected in parallel resistance of the circuit reduces considerably and large amount of current passes through the low-resistance ammeter. As H=I^2RT ;  Heat increases than the ammeter's melting point and hence it burns.   HOPE IT HELPS!!!!!
