ammeter and voltmeter work on principle of magnetic conduction.to prevent induction in ammeter it is given low resistanse and to allow more current to pass through it

1) Ammeter

Reason:-So that it may not change the value of the current flowing in a circuit.

2) Voltmeter

Reason:-So that it takes a negligible current from the circuit.
