Why ammeter is connected in series and not in parallel ????

Ammeter is connected in series becoz in series current splits thus to measure dat current ammeter is required

because it is used to measure the current throughout the rod/wire..

the circuit would cause a short circuit, damaging the ammeter and/or the

circuit..

, although current in the parallel connection changes frequently ,whylst in

series it is same
