Why ammeter is connected in series and voltmeter in parallel ? Please with proper explanation for class 10th student.

voltmeter is connected in parallel to find potential difference between two points like across the resistor it is connected whereas ammeter is just to determine current passing by

An ammeter is a LOW RESISTANCE device and is connected in series so as the whole circuit current flows through it for an accurate measurement.
Well, if we connect it in parallel what are we going to achieve? Are we going to get the accurate measurement? NO.
WHY?
let’s talk about nature of current flow. Current always flows toward low resistance path.Right? So, if an ammeter is connected in shunt manner then the whole current would flow through the branch itself as it’s low resistance path.Hence, we are not going to get the meaningful measurement
