Explanation:

When water temperature is increased the fish is much less capable of holding oxygen gas in solution than cool water.

Any temperature difference more than a degree or two is stressful for a fish and if you are pouring water that is very different from the water in the tank, in order to warm it up, they may actually die.

It is best to get the water to within a degree o the tank water BEFORE you add it. If your tank water is not warm enough for the fish you keep the solution is to have a heater...it will also keep the water stable.

If the problem is that you have cool or cold water fish and you are keeping the tank too warm, this too can stress the fish, and too warm and it will kill they will have shorter lives as warm water speeds up their metabolism.
