why an aqueous solution of sodium sulphate is neutral while aqueous solution of sodium carbonate is basic in nature

Aqueous solution of sodium sulphate is neutral because it is made up with a strong base and a strong acid I.e. sulphuric acid and sodium hydroxide. while sodium carbonate is made up of a strong base and a weak acid.
