Heya!!!!!
an atom is neutral in spite of charged particle because:-
the charge of electron is equal to charge of proton
and neutron have not any charge.
equal charges of electron and equal charges of proton maintain the balance..
so an atom is neutral in spite of having charged particle in it.
hope it helps!!!!!!
thanks

A atom is neutral due to balance positive and negative charge or simply electron and proton, the charged method allows insulator to charge due to loss or gain in electron
