Why an electricion only replaces a blown off fuse with a wire prepared from tin and lead alloy.why?

Fuse is a safety device which is actually a alloy made of tin and lead.this help in the control of overflow of current as it have a low melting point.when more current flows through it the heat increases due the joules law of heating(i^2rt). And gets melted .when fuse is gone only the alloy gets burnt or melted and nothing wrong with the circuit.
