Explanation:
A ship is made up of iron and steel, but it has a lot of space filled with air. This causes the ship to displace water with a weight equal to the weight of the ship. On the other hand, the needle displaces more water than its weight and hence it sinks..

ANSWER:-
As most of the space in the boat is taken up by air so it cause the overall density of what to be less than that of water .whereas ,the density of water iron nail is more than that of water . due to this the Iron nails things while the votes floats on the surface of the water .
